A quick note of thanks
I wanted to send a quick note before the day gets going.
Writing is a strange job. You sit in a room, type out your thoughts, and hope they land with someone, somewhere. It is easy to feel like you are just shouting into a void.
That is why I appreciate you being here.
The fact that you open these emails, read them, and sometimes reply is the best part of this work. I know how busy you are. I know how fast the “unread” count ticks up during the day.
Trusting me with five minutes of your week is a big deal. I don’t take it for granted.
If you are in the US:
Happy Thanksgiving. Keep the phone in a drawer. Eat too much food. Try not to think about Q4 projections for at least 24 hours.
If you are elsewhere:
I hope the rest of your week goes easy on you.
I’ll be back next week with a new article. Until then, thank you for reading.
